Derek Wenmouth told me about Wetpaint, a nice WYSIWYG wiki tool. I was very impressed.

I like to keep an eye on new startup web2.0 tools and sites. I blogged a diagramming one recently that was genuinely impressive whilst it remains free that is. But one of the requirements for web2.0 companies is that they have ultra stupid names. And whilst you many say “What’s in a name?” or “At least the domain name is free”… I have no idea which of these I should look at from today’s batch of hopefulls.
Imeem? I ask you…. OK, which one of these do you like the sound of (and think you may know they do/offer)?

This diagram tool (written in Flash) from Gliffy is very nice, and lets you both publish and collaborate on diagrams. I like it.

Seeing Visio being used well, here…, sometimes make me wish I had a PC. Omnigraffle is great but lacks a few features (that maybe version 3 has… should I upgrade? … probably).
Omnigraffle, with scripting, is inches away from being “the holy grail of prototyping” in that you could very quickly build a system that worked well enought to be able to test it, but not so well that you would consider delivering code built in it, which was often the downfall of Hypercard. When used for prototyping at least, Hypercard was too often, too good for the job, meaning rather than throwing code away, you kept on building on it….
